You Had Me at Hello

Memorable first lines, character entrances, and opening sequences that made us fall in love.

Perhaps the Ultimate in Great Entrances: Omar Sharif ) as Sherif Ali appearing first as a black pinpoint on the vast desert horizon. I have to ask, what movie director now would have the luxury of spending so much reel time (=real money) on a character’s entrance, especially one who is not the lead?

(And may I add that it set up one of the great Bromances in cinematic history?)

But there are other Great Entrances out there, both as scenes and first lines, and this category will celebrate those.
